A touch of color
When adding elements to my pieces I layer colored slips and decals. I use mason stains to create my own colors using a base white slip. This technique gives me the ability to alter, mix and layer when I need to, decals are an extra accent I use to express certain moments.
New techniques and materials are ever changing in ceramics. I use color to express celebration and reflection in each of my pieces. Dots, imagery and pattern cover my work as a figurative depiction of both nostalgia and my growing future.
